How to make a logo on Photoshop?
The logo is something that is created for the purpose of representing your business. It gives the customers an easy way of recognizing your brand name.
The logo is a kind of picture that is designed with a unique and stylish text, symbol, picture, or image related to that particular business. Logos are used on different products and they are also used on different advertisements.
The main objective of creating a logo is to make your business distinguishable from other businesses. Designing a logo is a very technical thing to do as it requires an expert’s eye as well as a creative eye. A successful logo must have a distinct character that speaks volumes about your brand and identity.
If you’re a designer, you should be able to design your own logo, but if you don’t have the necessary skills, then you’d better hire a freelance designer or design agency to help you. So, let us discuss How to make a logo on Photoshop?

Create a new Canvas
The first thing our professional logo designers do is create a blank canvas with 500px-by-500px dimensions. They commonly use pixels (px) as a measurement.
If you would like to change your canvas size, you can do this at any time via the properties menu in the top left corner of the Design Wizard.
Create a Save File
It is a good practice to create a “Save” file every so often. Photoshop allows people to save into their “Creative Cloud” which means that if something were to happen (ex. spilling coffee on your laptop), you could continue working in another viable medium, such as the cloud or at home on your computer.
Draw a Basic Shape
To create a basic shape, first, choose the Pen tool from the toolbar. (You can also press P to access the shortcut.) Make sure it is set to Shape and not Path in the options bar. Type in Grid so you can find it easier under the search bar, then click on it to activate it.
Duplicate the Design
At the moment, our logo might not look like much, but don’t fret. With just a few twists and turns we’ll have a beautifully complex snowflake design in no time! Design suites like Photoshop use layers to make your job easier – they let you position all kinds of different elements on top of each other to create beautiful effects.
Now that we’ve made one layer with our arrow graphic, we’re free to edit and manipulate it however we want. That means that this single image could be dissected into countless different pieces all stacked up on top of each other for a rich color gradient effect. And because we have these basics down, let’s duplicate the layer.
Add Color Gradient
Color plays a significant role in logo design. To make ours stand out among the crowd, we want to incorporate color gradients. While this might be a controversial move and remind some designers of the awkward WordArt phase of graphic design, it can actually work wonders as evidenced by popular brands like Airbnb and Instagram for example. Creating a gradient in your logo is as simple as clicking “Fill” at the top of the toolbar followed by “New Gradient”.
Double the Layer and Create a Group
We’ve almost got our logo in shape, but there are still some modifications that need to take place before it’s ready for presentation. Let’s group the 2 layers we’ve worked on so far by selecting both of them and pressing CTRL + G.
Grouping makes working with multiple layers easier and more efficient. Duplicate the new group, and using the Free Transform tool (CTRL + T), drag it 180 degrees to turn it upside down. This trick is recommended as an easy way to get any element you’re currently working on perfectly aligned alongside another.
Repeat this step 3 times to get 4 elements forming a cohesive pattern that works together without being too obvious or overbearing as most logos tend to be.
Now Create Space and Double Again
Snowflakes can be created by drawing different types of groups of shapes at a 45-degree angle. This is a creative way to bring some texture and depth to your design in no time.
Use Shape Tool and Add Circle
Select the ellipse selection tool under the shape tools and then set your Left/Right points on 0,0 if you want to encompass an object with a rectangle or square.
If there’re not many characters in a word, we would recommend using multiple lines for readability purposes.
We feel that white works great when it comes to logo designs. White allows other modes of thought around it to shine through and remain relevant.
Add a Rectangle and Center it
Now that we’ve started the logo, it’s time for us to use the shape tools once more. This time, we’re going to choose a rectangle and create a white background where our text will go.
Add Text
To add some text, click on the T icon, which is the Text Box tool in the toolbar.
Adjust your Logo
When you’re happy with your final design, save it in the format you need, and don’t be afraid to revisit at a later date if you feel that you can make improvements.
To make these things easier for yourself, try to team up with reliable experts who specialize in various fields related specifically to the type of editing work you require.
